Working with images

A picture is worth a thousand words, so kuraCloud makes sure your images look sharp! Images make lessons come alive and help to capture student's attention. kuraCloud supports images saved as JPEG, PNG, GIF, and SVGs (as long as they are UTF-8 encoded). The image size limit in kuraCloud is 5 MB, and the maximum image dimensions are 10,000 x 10,000 pixels. Please note that the speed of upload for your photos will greatly depend on the speed of your Internet connection.

All images in kuraCloud are resizable by the author, and images will also scale to the screen size of the device you are using. An image that looks very clear when small, may become fuzzy and pixelated when it is enlarged. To avoid this, save all images at a high resolution.

Using Scalable Vector Graphics (SVGs)

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVGs) are saved in a vector image format with support for interactivity and animation.

To ensure your SVGs display correctly within kuraCloud, when saving your SVG we recommend that you untick the "Responsive" tick-box in the SVG Options in Adobe Illustrator:
